Well hell short of hating just about everyone and really fucking hating my fucking fluorescent light filled corporate job that makes me just want to hang myself things are cool. I'm moving to Portland in November to work the same shit job in a new city. The Creature From Jekyll Island A Second Look at the Federal Reserve by G. Edward Griffin arrived in the mail today, I'm filled with a sudden urging to study economics and become a politician, destroy the Federal Reserve and die in an epic battle.
Watching a bunch of sexy french tit filled movies with Mitch the last few days, we both want to know what kind of S.T.D'.S Henry Miller had during his life and what killed the old son of a bitch.

Walking down hill with my americano and toasted bagel I can hear crows barking in the sky, I walk another two blocks down to 23rd where I see them swirling in the air above the street and hunting the trees along the sidewalk. I walk to the curb, a single crow is setting still in the middle of the lane, this crow is the reason the rest are so upset, the crow isn't moving, I kick some rocks at the crow, still, a small black statue in the road. The first car pass's in the opposite lane, the second car drives over the crow not hitting him, but the third car hits the crow, a soft organic crack of crow body, it folds over for a moment and then picks it's self back up, sitting in the same position and waits for the next car. That was enough for me so I continue my walk home, only half a block away, I could hear the rest of the crows barking for another 15 minutes.

The Obama administration, fearing a battle with Congress that could stall plans to close the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, is drafting an executive order that would reassert presidential authority to incarcerate terrorism suspects indefinitely, according to three senior government officials with knowledge of White House deliberations.

House Passes Energy Bill, 219-212

The House has approved the American Clean Energy & Security Act by a vote of 219 to 212. The climate change bill, a legislative priority of Pres. Obama's, centers on a renewable electricity standard and a cap-and-trade policy aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Senate is likely to take up the legislation after the July 4th recess.

"My concern about the legislation is that if the GAO is auditing not only the operational aspects of the programs and the details of the programs but making judgments about our policy decisions would effectively be a takeover of policy by the Congress and a repudiation of the Federal Reserve would be highly destructive to the stability of the financial system, the Dollar and our national economic situation."

Section 8. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

Most of the reviews are NEGATIVE!!! if the review seems to be a positive one upon reading it's just a short paragraph listing what you'll be doing at the SFI.

"The Seattle Film Institute is a second rate education facility. To begin - They are basically without lesson plans, many teachers will consistantly arrive late, many teachers have a rudimentary knowledge (at best) of the subject they are teaching, the equipment is shoddy and consistently not working, there is no accountability, classes overlap and you will most likely learn the same thing multiple times because there is no communication between faculty."

Anyways I was, still might be sending in my application with the $100 admission fee (I could do a lot with $100 being broke all the time) sometime this first week of may, wouldn't be a waste because I know i'd be accepted. In a way I knew this bad press was out there, I was just going to ignore it and just tramp along with my happy self, but now the second, third, fourth thoughts of cautious doubt has been recast in my mind. I felt/still feel that this school was going to be a great opportunity for me, the school is a five minute walk from my front door and work 5 minutes from there. Fuck going to into debt it has to happen sometime so way not start with film school?
It takes me quite a while for me to commit to going to school, any school, and after meeting with the school director I was sold,barely, and now I'm hanging on with the tips of my nails.

My name is Corey Crammond and I was born on February 2^nd, 1987. I lived a comfortable, middle class life in and around the city of Toledo, Ohio. I obtained a typical American education, achieving average grades, but was always a bit bored and discontent with the system. I always seemed to be somewhat of an outcast from the rest of the students, which was fine by me, most of the time. Throughout my junior and senior years of high school, I majored in Interactive Media at Penta Career Center, a vocational school. Focused in graphic design, this program taught me many useful skills in using various business and media software programs. During this time, I was able to devote some time to shooting and editing digital video, which opened my mind to some of the awesome power new technology holds for cinema.

After graduation, I moved into The Collingwood Arts center, a small artist community in Toledo, and the six months I spent there has had a profound effect on my life and has given me a great sense of direction. Living with and meeting working artist who earn their living through their craft, has made me want to grow artistically, and creating for a living has become one of my goals in life thereafter.

Traveling is also a major pleasure in my life. From taking vacations with my family around the country as a child, to small trips to such places as Washington, D.C., New York City, and other places with friends in my adolescence, to finally leaving Ohio for good to move to Los Angeles and then to Seattle in 2008. Traveling has expanded my perception of the world and has given me wonderful experiences I will forever treasure, and experiencing new geographic locations and cities is something I will never stop doing.

I’ve known I was going to make movies ever since I was a child. I don't know what one thing triggered it, but one day I said “when I grow up I'm going to make movies.” I've dreamed up May different career paths for myself over the last twenty-two years, but making movies is something I've never stopped doing. I’m constantly dreaming up feature films, shorts, P.S.A.'s, and music videos, looking for ways to use the moving image to create an illusion and tell a story. This is an obsession that has led me to shoot a few unedited shorts, hours and hours of video, and one “fully realized” short which taught me how chaotic a production can be with only three hundred dollars, two cars, one city, a handful of close, creative friends to work with, and a shooting schedule of three sleepless days. I still ask myself the same question everyday: “How can I make a movie?” Thousands of schemes and well-thought-out plans have led me to the same answer: “Almost impossible. Who will act for me? Where will I shoot? Who will be my crew? How will I pay for it?” This has been an endless vortex of thought over the last few years, and the true answer has been lurking in my mind, and now it seems I can face it: Film school.

In the next six months I hope to be attending the Seattle film institute to achieve my goal of attaining jobs in the film industry as a working director. I will also continue to create my own videos and art projects with my own time, money, and equipment. I ultimately hope the steps I am taking now will assist me in reaching my goal of earning a living through the art of movie-making which is my true passion.

A small colony of artists is cropping up in Detroit, taking advantage of the bottomed-out property prices, buying houses for as little as $100:

So what did $1,900 buy? The run-down bungalow had already been stripped of its appliances and wiring by the city’s voracious scrappers. But for Mitch that only added to its appeal, because he now had the opportunity to renovate it with solar heating, solar electricity and low-cost, high-efficiency appliances.
Buying that first house had a snowball effect. Almost immediately, Mitch and Gina bought two adjacent lots for even less and, with the help of friends and local youngsters, dug in a garden. Then they bought the house next door for $500, reselling it to a pair of local artists for a $50 profit. When they heard about the $100 place down the street, they called their friends Jon and Sarah.
Admittedly, the $100 home needed some work, a hole patched, some windows replaced. But Mitch plans to connect their home to his mini-green grid and a neighborhood is slowly coming together.
Now, three homes and a garden may not sound like much, but others have been quick to see the potential. A group of architects and city planners in Amsterdam started a project called the “Detroit Unreal Estate Agency” and, with Mitch’s help, found a property around the corner. The director of a Dutch museum, Van Abbemuseum, has called it “a new way of shaping the urban environment.” He’s particularly intrigued by the luxury of artists having little to no housing costs. Like the unemployed Chinese factory workers flowing en masse back to their villages, artists in today’s economy need somewhere to flee.
